Seeking Construction Project Manager to work in an NYC field office on NY MTA facility projects.
Responsibilities
Responsible to manage all services for transportation and facility infrastructure projects. Candidate will perform project management and technical work. This will include managing staffing, budgets, project deliverables, and scheduling. Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills to interface with engineers and officers of other organizations and companies . Must have the ability to work in a New York City Transit (NYCT) field office (approximately 50%) and at project locations or remotely. Provide continuous client relations to promote the company reputation for quality and thoroughness and that project results continuously meet or exceed client expectations.
Essential Functions
Project and Technical Activities
Serve as Construction Project Manager on NYCT facility projects, as appropriate.
Participate in project planning and set up activities such as Project Management Plans.
Review project schedules, costs, progress reports, or any engineering submittals.
Perform and/or Monitor engineering and constructability reviews.
Conduct and/or Monitor inspection services on construction projects for compliance and quality.
Perform Internal QA/QC on all project products and resolve any issues.
Perform other active project oversight and assist other company PMs as needed.
Actively work to assure client project satisfaction on technical performance.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.
Registered NYS PE a plus
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management, transportation facility planning, design, and/or construction.
Project experience or working relationships with State and local transportation agencies a plus.
Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management and CPM Scheduling, and other agency specific software.
